Anorectal ultrasound, anorectal manometry / anorectal physiology, proctologic examination and procedures room, stoma and wound care, diagnostic and interventional endoscopy department, the recovery room are among the prominent parts of the unit. All the necessary hardware and equipment for advanced diagnostic and therapeutic applications such as biofeedback specifically developed for the diseases, rectal electrostimulation, posterior tibial nerve stimulation are available in our department. In addition, interventional endoscopy or surgical intervention opportunities are present, if necessary, with special devices for different treatment applications.
Liv Hospital Proctology Department has a multidisciplinary approach construction. Specialists of different fields (general surgery, gastroenterology, nutrition and diet, psychology, urology, gynecology and obstetrics) come together and create a council in our department based on the fact that many diseases are effective on intestinal health. It is aimed to reach a consensus on the accurate diagnosis and determining the most appropriate treatment for the patients via consultation of the specialists. All diagnosis/ treatment, concepts and methods performed in our department are compatible with ASCRS (The American Society of Colon and Rectum Surgeons) practice parameters (practice recommendations) in the framework of "center of excellence" construction.
