Thorax BT Virtual Angio

This method tomographically images the flow of the contrast agent administered through the arm vein in the coronary artery provides information on both whether there is an obstruction in coronary arteries, and the presence of atherosclerosis. If no obstruction is detected in the coronary vessels, its diagnostic reliability is close to 100 percent. In Virtual Angiography, contrast material is applied directly from the arm vein and the vessels are tomographically visualized. If the coronary arteries appear normal, it is equally reliable as classical angiography. The contrast agent applied is similar in both methods, and the amount of radiation received is generally less than the amount received conventional angiography.
