Corneal Diseases

The cornea, which is the transparent layer of the eye, is located in front of the colored layer of the eye and is the most important lens of the eye. Loss of vision in corneal diseases may be permanent. Therefore, diagnosis and treatment of corneal diseases are important for eye health. Corneal diseases are treated with laser and sometimes with corneal transplantation.





Corneal transplantation is the operation of changing all or part of the corneal tissue. While there has been a complete change in the past, new techniques only change the part affected by the disease. Surgery is performed under general anesthesia.
