Anesthesia and Reanimation
With the help of experienced teachers and specialist doctors in the staff of the ISU Hospital Liv Bahcheshehir Anesthesiology and Reanimation Department, anesthetic procedures are carried out in operating rooms, treatment and care of all types of critical patients is provided in general intensive care units for adults. Anesthesia and sedation procedures are also performed during interventional procedures carried out outside the operating room in various departments.
Approximately 7500 – 8000 patients are served annually in the Anesthesiology polyclinic, where patients are examined before any type of anesthesia application.
In the 9-room central operating theatre, general anesthesia, local-regional anesthesia, nerve blockade operations are used for patients of all ages and all types of surgery, including liver and kidney transplants, open heart surgery, spine surgery and neurosurgery.
Patient Controlled Anesthesia (PCA) is applied using a variety of techniques in the coordination between the patient and the surgical team to reduce and alleviate postoperative pain in patients.
The 33-bed General Intensive Care Unit for adults successfully provides care and treatment up to 1,000-1,200 patients per year.
Sedation and anesthesia are performed for the comfort and safety of the patient during the interventional procedures performed in the IVF center, in the department of gastroenterology, cardiology, interventional radiology, neurology and some other departments.
Depending on the patient's desire, labor analgesia is performed with an epidural catheter.
Apart from the serving patients, our clinic also contributes to the education of students studying at various departments of the Faculty of Medicine and the Professional School of Health of our university.
