The Department of Brain Surgery and Neurosurgery deals with surgical diseases of the nervous system formed by the spine, spinal cord and nerves.  The most advanced technologies, such as microsurgery, neuronavigation, neuromonitoring, are used to carry out operations here.

Neuronavigation: a technology that draws a tumor map

During operations with a brain tumor, it is very important to remove the tumor without damaging the surrounding healthy brain tissue.  The device "neuronavigation" ensures the preservation of tissues during biopsy of brain tumors, provides the opportunity to made the most accurate diagnosis for patients and apply the most appropriate treatment

Tumor staining

Fluorescence-guided surgery (staining the tumor), which is used in a limited number of centers in the world and in Turkey, is carried out at the ISU Liv Hospital Bahcesehir to perform safe and wide resection (removal) of brain tumors and operations for cerebrovascular diseases.
 

Neurostimulants

For movement disorders (Parkinson's and others), methods of deep brain stimulation (cochlear implant, thalamic stimulator) are safely used in our clinic.
