Istinye University Liv Hospital Nuclear Medicine Unit provides services in the field of imaging and treatment with its team of experienced physicians, sound medical team, state of the art equipment and physical infrastructure. Our goal is to be with our patients during their diagnosis, treatment and follow-up by providing service with superior standards and quality.
Imaging Units
All scintigraphic procedures and molecular imaging (F-18 FDG, Gallium-68 PSMA, Ga-68 DOTA-TATE, etc.) are carried out in this unit in a very short time and with high quality standards with 1 state of the art PET/CT device and 1 gamma camera. Moreover, guidance can be provided with our gamma probe device before and during the surgeries planned in relevant surgical branches. In addition to all these imaging services, we actively participate in the multidisciplinary tumor councils held in our hospital.PET/CT
Even small tumors can be easily detected with PET/CT device at our Nuclear Medicine Department. PET/CT scanner is used to detect diseases early, stage thereof and follow up their response to treatment and it can three dimensionally image metabolic function and anatomy of cells in a single session and offers physicians detailed information about the disease.Treatment Units and Outpatient Clinic Services
Our Nuclear Medicine Unit has 2 radionuclide treatment rooms and provides service to our patients with superior comfort and quality standards. Furthermore, examinations, follow-ups and treatment decisions of our patients are organized in the outpatient room in our clinic. Patients with hyperthyroidism can receive inpatient or outpatient Iodine-131 therapy. Iodine-131 (I-131) therapy, popularly known as atomic therapy, for patients diagnosed with thyroid cancer, as well as Lutetium-177 DOTA-TATE (Lu-177 DOTA-TATE) and Actinium-225 DOTA-TATE treatment for patients diagnosed with metastatic neuroendocrine tumors, Lutetium-177 PSMA (Lu-177 PSMA) and Actininium-225 PSMA treatment can be applied to patients diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer, and I-131 MIBG treatment can be applied in diseases such as neuroblastoma. Besides these, Y-90 microsphere therapy (TARE) for primary or metastatic tumors of the liver is applied in cooperation with the interventional radiology unit of our hospital.Featured Services Tab
