Risky Baby Monitoring

A well-equipped intensive care unit is a must for a successful health service for the treatment of all risky diseases that threaten the life of the newborn. Risky Baby Monitoring Outpatient Department of Liv Hospital Ulus ensures high satisfaction of parents through treatment and intensive care services for infants in risky situations from congenital diaphragmatic hernia to non-formation of abdominal wall and from preterm birth to respiratory distress. Neonatal Care Unit of Liv Hospital Ulus, allows infants to receive the most accurate treatment via its expert team and advanced technology incubator-like equipment.

Infants in separate rooms in intensive care unit

Severe infections in the hospital can adversely affect the brain development of infants and can cause serious lifelong problems. Each infant is given intensive care service in separate rooms of Neonatal Unit of Liv Hospital as the first in Turkey in order to eliminate the risk of infection. In our clinic, no hospital infection was observed in newborns.  Through rational use of antibiotics, we are highly selective about administering antibiotics to all inpatient infants . When necessary, a multidisciplinary approach is adopted with the support of other units in order to ensure the health of infants. Collaboration is made with highly experienced physicians in the fields of pediatric neurology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric endocrinology, cardiovascular surgery, retina and neurosurgery.

Tests at the incubator

Medical workups such as ultrasound imaging, direct radiological scans, retinal examinations, hearing tests, cranial EEG and cardiac echocardiography are performed point-of-care without moving the patient in Neonatal Unit of Liv Hospital. Through these portable technological services, medical examinations of infants can be performed comfortably and safely.
Severe premature (preterm) infants and other newborns in the risky group have been discharged in health status by the Risky Baby Monitoring Outpatient Department of Liv Hospital where newborn intensive care technology and experience meet.
Risky newborns may be required to be monitored in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). All patients discharged from NICU should be transferred to Risky Baby Monitoring Outpatient Department.
